michael kienzer is an Austrian artist working mostly in the media of sculpture, installation and drawing, using materials such as aluminium, textiles, rubber, glass and also various found materials. he occupies himself with the topics such as space, time, surface and densification, while questioning the traditional parameters of sculpture with innovative approach. kienzer’s lapidary interventions, which use the means of the space, concentrate the effect of physical forces, disturb and change the seemingly stirless structure of the place.
